Equine therapy sessions

Presence, communication, and working with oneself
Work, or rather collaboration, with horses here is a living encounter, not a predefined script. It is a meeting that happens here and now, leaving room for creativity, mistakes, attempts, and choices. Horse and human meet as equal partners, both learning, growing, and influencing one another while maintaining a relationship based on respect.

The horse is a living, sensitive being with its own will, boundaries, and language. Here, two systems meet — the human and the horse — and a space for dialogue is created, born out of presence.

Our approach is based on mental and emotional communication: attention, space, signals, sounds, and the careful modulation of pressure. To build cooperation, a person must be able to be present, to listen, and to take responsibility for their own inner state.

Horses sense very clearly whether a person is embodied, whether they are listening, whether they are trying to control, or whether they are capable of being honest. For this reason, working with a horse inevitably becomes working with oneself.

Working with horses — from the ground

Our sessions take place from the ground. This means the work is not done on the horse’s back — the focus is on presence, communication, and mutual trust.

Groundwork allows the horse to move freely, think, and respond, while the human learns to influence without force. This form of work is accessible and suitable for people of all ages.

Horse well-being as the foundation of all our work

Our horses live with the freedom to move 24/7, to socialize, and to simply be horses outside of sessions. Working with people is never placed above a horse’s fundamental needs — rest, movement, safety, and calm.

Not every horse is suitable for this kind of work. We consciously raise and prepare our horses with respect for their temperament, abilities, and boundaries. Horses are not overloaded with sessions or “clients,” and each process is adapted to the horse’s condition on that particular day.

The environment and circumstances may change with the seasons, but the approach remains constant — caring for the horse as a living being, not as a resource.

The path of cooperation — from presence to deeper interaction

Our work with horses unfolds gradually — from simple presence and observation to conscious cooperation and deeper inner work. This approach is not based on force or dominance, but on mental and emotional communication: attention, space, signals, the careful use of pressure, and its timely release.

The horse sets the pace. Each process is adapted to the state of both the human and the horse in that particular moment.

Experiences

1.
Presence in the horse’s space

The easiest and slowest experience
These sessions are a calm, conscious, and meditative process. The focus is not on doing, but on being.

Individual sessions unfold at a slow pace, with attention to the body, breath, and inner state. The person enters the horse’s space without the demand to achieve or control anything. Here, the horse acts as a living mirror — its responses reflect the human’s tension, calm, presence, or inner resistance.

The outcome is not the completion of a task, but recognition and awareness. The experience is quiet and embodied.
  • Duration: 45–60 minutes
  • Contribution: €40–60
(a self-selected range according to your current financial possibilities, from the minimum to your preferred amount)
  • Suitable for: first experience, anxiety, overload, burnout, people with increased sensitivity.

2.
Conscious interaction with the horse

Medium intensity experience
At this stage, action is gradually added to presence. Simple tasks, movement, and clearer communication with the horse begin to emerge.

The work is done with a free horse, using subtle signals — space, direction of gaze, movement, voice, and the careful modulation of pressure. The horse is invited to think and participate, not to submit.

The person learns to take responsibility for their own state, to be clear in their intentions, and to respect boundaries. Depending on the person’s readiness, we may also go for a walk outside the enclosure. I provide interpretation, explanations, and feedback on what is unfolding.
  • Duration: 60–75 minutes
  • Investment: €50–70 (range of choice according to your current financial capabilities, from minimum to desired)
  • Suitable for: those who are ready for more active involvement, learning boundaries and clear communication.

3.
A cooperative session with a horse

A more active and structured experience
(especially suitable for children, young people, or as a shared experience for the whole family)
These sessions are dynamic and engaging. They include clear tasks, games, movement, and simple tricks that require attention and intellectual involvement from both the child and the horse.

A special place here is given to working with the young horse Deizija, who is learning the art of tricks. Children take part in her learning process, witnessing how a horse concentrates, makes mistakes, and learns. This fosters empathy, patience, and an understanding of the learning process.

The work is based on positive reinforcement (treats), mutual agreement, and clear signals, while maintaining respect and safety.
  • Duration: Children / young people: 45–60 minutes
  • Duration: family: up to 75 min
  • Contribution: Individual: €35–55
Family (up to 4 people): €70–85
(a self-selected range according to your current financial possibilities, from the minimum to your preferred amount)
  • Suitable for: children and young people, for the development of attention, emotional regulation, and social skills.

4.
The horse as a mirror and a mediator

A deeper form of experience
In this work, the horse becomes a mediator between the person and their inner state. I act as a bridge and interpreter, helping to notice subtle signals — body language, tension, and the quality of presence — and I offer explanations, reflections, and feedback.

Horses do not respond to words or roles, but to the genuine state of being here and now. For this reason, the experience often touches deeper emotional layers, even when everything appears simple on the surface.
  • Duration: 75–90 minutes
  • Investment: €90 per session (session series and investment are negotiated separately)
  • Suitable for: deeper personal work, long-term processes, and emotional or mental imbalance.

Who is this suitable for?

These sessions and activities are suitable for people who:

  • feel tired of constant thinking,
  • are seeking a deeper connection with themselves and their body, wishing to hear the true source of an emotion or thought pattern, to understand themselves and sense their next direction,
  • want to spend time in nature and slow down the rhythm of their lives,
  • feel called to meet a horse not as a sports partner, but as a living being,
  • for children — to support the development of attention, emotional regulation, and social skills,
  • for children — before beginning riding lessons or joining horse-related sports, it is essential to learn to see their equine partner not as a mechanical tool for winning, but as a living, feeling companion with whom goals can be pursued through friendly cooperation. Before mounting a horse and physically directing it, learning to cooperate from the ground.

You do not need to be “ready.” It is enough to be honest.

Cooperation and charity

I also offer collaboration with charitable organizations and initiatives that work with children and young people in challenging life situations — those who most need support, presence, and the safety of a friendly shoulder. These forms of cooperation are created individually, with respect, understanding, and mutual possibilities. Through donation or free of charge.

A contribution is not a fee. It is a shared continuation of what is alive.
Every contribution — whether payment for a service or a donation — helps sustain the well-being and growth of the horses: their feed, care, overall welfare, and the possibility for them to grow as free horses rather than being used for profit by carrying people. It also makes it possible to offer free sessions to children and families who do not have the financial means to pay for the service.

If you wish to support the continuation of this space, the lives of our horses, and the opportunity for people to meet themselves here again, you can do so here:
